About Abalone Shell
Abalone, also known as Paua, is a colourful and iridescent natural seashell. As a natural product no two pieces of abalone shell are ever the same, making our jewellery as unique as the person wearing it.
The shell used in our jewellery is sustainably sourced as a by-product from the Farmed Fishing Industry of New Zealand and is never dredged or free fished.
About Pikorua symbolism
Based on the New Zealand pikopiko fern whose fronds curl around one another. In Maori culture it is said to symbolise how two people's life paths will, despite unexpected twists and turns, inevitably return together again one day.
